What are the club dues for the 2023-2024 school year?
$100
When does it have to be paid?
The fees may be paid up front but can also be paid by semester. The minimum fee of $50 must be paid
before uniform distribution. The remainder may be paid half in the fall and spring semesters. There are many ways to pay the club fee, either directly, or by participating in fundraising. Please see "How can the dues be paid" below for more details.

How is this different from the dues we paid during enrollment?
Most years, a $50 district fee is required to enroll in any co-curricular class on campus. These funds go directly to
the school district, and do not come back to the choir program. There is a school fee of $30. This only
covers the copyright fees paid for the music that is performed. All other expenses (uniforms, banquet ticket, t-shirt, tech equipment, transportation, etc.) are paid by the club fee. However, because of COVID we do not even have these district/school fees.

What is my student's Individual Account?
Each student has their own account within the Booster Club account that is maintained and tracked for
payment of club fees by the Club Treasurer. Once a student’s club fee has been paid, any additional
contribution of funds for that individual student will be added to their Individual Account as a credit.
The credit amount in an Individual Account can be used towards guest tickets for the year-end
banquet, lost item charges, costs for specialized field trips and programs, etc. Example: During years
when a choir travels to a festival and a Disney visit is included, Booster funds are NOT used for
students’ hotel stays, Disney tickets, etc., however funds in an Individual Account may be used.
What happens to the balance of money in my account at the end of the year?

Class Fees:
1) $80 Class Fee:
Course fees have been waived for the 2021-2022 school year.
This fee is payed at the bookstore during book distribution, before the start of the year. It is split into two categories:
1. $30 per student for classroom supplies (music, folders, sight reading books)
2. $50 to the district to contribute to the district-wide, extracurricular teacher stipend (never goes to the choir)
2) $100 Club Fundraising Fee:
Data from over the years of how much it costs to run the program has been analyzed, and concluded that it costs about $200 per student to run the program each year. We understand how this may be an issue for some families, and never want money to hold a student back from being a part of our program. If this fee is an issue, please contact Jason Gellman, our Booster treasurer ([email protected]). We are so lucky to have such a high quality program, however these are the prices we pay for it. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
3) Trip/Travel Fees:
For choirs like A Capella (Choir 7-8), travel fees are inevitable. Our higher level class takes a trip out of state almost every year. Before students audition into the choirs they are told about the commitment to travel and agree to the expectations in the beginning of the year. Traveling normally happens in the spring, and is part of their grade. Tax Credits and Fundraising is always available to help students raise enough money to travel.
4) All State/Regional Audition Fees:
These auditions are mandatory for Honors Credit students and cost $20-$30 to audition. The audition is optional to all students not taking choir as an Honors Credit
